Our Equipment

State-of-the-art Equipment We Use:

The VELscope Vx - This is the most powerful tool available for assisting in the discovery of oral abnormalities. The VELscope's distinctive blue-spectrum light causes the soft tissues of the mouth to naturally fluoresce. Healthy tissues fluoresce in distinctive patterns — patterns that are visibly disrupted by trauma or disease. Using the VELscope, a wide variety of oral abnormalities can be discovered — often before they're visible to the unassisted eye.

Discovering soft tissue abnormalities is particularly important in the fight against oral cancer. Because the VELscope Vx assists in early detection, cancer can be caught before it has time to spread, potentially saving lives through less invasive, more effective treatment.

The “ezLase” by Biolase – While all diode lasers cut tissue using heat, many of them can increase tissue temperature excessively, causing patient discomfort. The ezlase keeps patients more comfortable two ways.

Its 940 nm wavelength, developed exclusively for dentistry by Biolase, is better absorbed by hemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin than other wavelengths, so the ezlase cuts efficiently at lower power and with less heat.

In addition, an exclusive ezlase feature called ComfortPulse™ lets you significantly reduce the amount of time the laser is actually cutting, to avoid pain-inducing heat build-up at the surgical site. This unique combination of features means you can perform most ezlase procedures using topical anesthetic only.

Temporary Pain Therapy and Relief - The ezlase is FDA cleared for temporary relief of minor pain. The exclusive beam-dispersing handpiece has several therapeutic applications, including providing temporary relief of minor muscle and joint pain and stiffness.

The HYDRIM L110w instrument washer – This powerful large-volume washer is our first step to effective sterilization. Using an automated washer virtually eliminates hand scrubbing. It is also safer and more efficient than manually cleaning contaminated instruments. The advantages of automated washing systems over traditional manual cleaning are also recognized by the CDC and independent research and testing organizations.

The HYDRIM L 110w can process 100 instrument sets in a 10-hour day. It is designed specifically for medium to large dental practices with five or more operatories. It saves us valuable time, so we can spend more time with patients; it eliminates hand scrubbing so it protects our staff against the hazards of skin puncture and aerosolized contaminants from manual or ultrasonic washing, manual rinsing and manual drying; and it promotes longer instrument life.

The STATIM 7000 cassette autoclave – The most efficient and thorough sterilization of equipment is an extremely important part of any dental clinic, and one that we pay particular attention to. That’s why we’ve chosen to rely on our STATIM 7000 cassette autoclave.

Built for the highest turnaround efficiency, the STATIM 7000 is the ultimate in speed and capacity. It exceeds the overall throughput of most conventional autoclaves, making it the perfect choice for our busy practice.

The Kodak Dental System Intraoral Radiography RVG 6100 – This is a “digital” imaging system that allows us to get superior positioning and diagnostic-quality images of your teeth. And what’s more, it allows us to reduce radiation dosing as needed — as much as 15% less than conventional dental x-ray systems. It’s ergonomically designed so it’s a lot more comfortable in your mouth than the old film holders.

The KODAK 1500 Intraoral Camera – We think this is the ideal communication tool for any dental professional. It delivers precise, true-to-life images with each shot, and helps us provide the visual “evidence” we need to show our patients what’s occurring in their mouth and it helps us make more accurate diagnoses.
